Kael Driscoll (School Board Chair & Parent Representative)
As father of two girls at Lake Monger Primary School I have been lucky enough to be involved in the LMPS community for several years now. I am proud to be have been elected to the position of School Board Chair and look forward to continuing my work with the other Board Representatives.
I work as a librarian at the University of Western Australia, and in my spare time I am a DJ and music enthusiast - meaning that I get to DJ the annual School Disco!
Diane Tomlinson (Principal)
I have been the Principal of Lake Monger Primary School since October 2015. I am very committed to continuing the ‘view to excellence’ at Lake Monger Primary School. I strongly believe in quality effective teaching and learning being key to the development of the whole child. I thoroughly enjoy working with the P&C and School Board Representatives.
Alexia Caraes (Parent Representative)
Born and raised in France, I went to Canada to study and after five years (...and five long winters) my partner and I decided to come to Australia in 2007 and live in summertime! I am currently working in aged care with a background in commerce, journalism and public relations. I have been a member of the Lake Monger Primary School community since 2015 when my son David started kindergarten. Since then my other son Jeremy has joined this incredible little school.
Karen Thurston (Staff Representative)
I joined the Lake Monger Primary School Community in 2012 and have held the position of Kindergarten Teacher since 2013.
I have extensive experience in public education having worked in teaching roles in a variety of schools as well as developing and delivering education programs for the RSPCA to schools throughout Perth.
I am a mother of two boys currently in year 6 and year 8.
Joanne Greaves (Parent Representative)
I am pleased to be a part of the Lake Monger Primary School community since my son started Kindergarten in 2013. I am passionate about a safe, fun learning environment which encourages children to be excited about developing their skills.
My work as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep keeps me busy, but I am keen to support the school in any way I can.
Ruth Jooste (Staff Representative)
I joined Lake Monger Primary School as an Early Childhood educator in 2003. I have worked in the private and public school sector in both Australia and South Africa. I am passionate about each child's right to a high quality education. My goal is to ensure Lake Monger Primary School is an environment where each child feels safe and supported in reaching their potential, intellectually, physically and emotionally. I have 3 children of my own who are 19, 17 and 11.
Tarah Pearce (Community Representative)
I have been the Manager at Mulberry Kids Club onsite at Lake Monger since May 2017. I am an Early Childhood Teacher and very passionate about working with young children, and supporting them to reach their full potential while providing a fun and engaging environment to learn in. I also have 2 young boys and moved to Perth from New Zealand in 2012. I am excited to be on the Lake Monger School Board and part of the school community.
