Kael Driscoll (School Board Chair & Parent Representative)
As father of two girls at Lake Monger Primary School I have been lucky enough to be involved in the LMPS community for several years now. I am proud to be have been elected to the position of School Board Chair and look forward to continuing my work with the other Board Representatives.
I work as a librarian at the University of Western Australia, and in my spare time I am a DJ and music enthusiast - meaning that I get to DJ the annual School Disco!
Diane Tomlinson (Principal)
I have been the Principal of Lake Monger Primary School since October 2015. I am very committed to continuing the ‘view to excellence’ at Lake Monger Primary School. I strongly believe in quality effective teaching and learning being key to the development of the whole child. I thoroughly enjoy working with the P&C and School Board Representatives.
Alexia Caraes (Parent Representative)
Born and raised in France, I went to Canada to study and after five years (...and five long winters) my partner and I decided to come to Australia in 2007 and live in summertime! I am currently working in aged care with a background in commerce, journalism and public relations. I have been a member of the Lake Monger Primary School community since 2015 when my son David started kindergarten. Since then my other son Jeremy has joined this incredible little school.
Abbie Taylor (Staff Representative)I began my teaching career at Lake Monger Primary School in 2013 as an Early Childhood educator after completing my studies at Edith Cowan University. My goal as an educator has always been to provide children with learning experiences that not only support their holistic development, but also develop in them a passion for learning and attending school each day. I love the Lake Monger School community because of its warm, welcoming and multi-cultural identity. As a teacher I feel very lucky to work with such wonderful children every day. I am excited to be a part of the LMPS school board.
Lucy Hopkins (Parent Representative)
Our family joined the Lake Monger Primary School community in 2017. I believe it is important that every child has access to opportunities to fulfil their potential, both academically and socially. My background in law and advocacy has provided me with skills that can assist the Board in its governance role of LMPS. I am grateful for the opportunity to help ensure all LMPS students receive a rounded, enjoyable and challenging education.
Ruth Jooste (Staff Representative)
I joined Lake Monger Primary School as an Early Childhood educator in 2003. I have worked in the private and public school sector in both Australia and South Africa. I am passionate about each child's right to a high quality education. My goal is to ensure Lake Monger Primary School is an environment where each child feels safe and supported in reaching their potential, intellectually, physically and emotionally. I have 3 children of my own who are 19, 17 and 11.
Sarah Dedman (Community Representative)
I am the OSHC coordinator at Mulberry Tree Kids Club onsite at Lake Monger Primary School. I am a Primary school teacher and I am passionate about working with families to support children to reach their potential. Whether in an OSHC or a school, I love ensuring the environment and curriculum are fun, engaging and child centred. When I am not working you will find me playing sport or reading. I am excited to continue my involvement with Lake Monger school as part of the school board.
